"Fixed-time signals waste life at every variable-density intersection. A camera, a model, and an algorithm that actually watches the road."

Challenge

Traditional fixed-interval traffic signals cause inefficiency at intersections with variable lane densities. Build a system that dynamically adjusts signal timing based on real-time vehicle counts per lane.

Solution

Custom-trained YOLOv5 model on a curated vehicle dataset, a lane-density adaptive timing algorithm, and a Python + FastAPI real-time camera-to-signal pipeline - closing the loop from perception to control.

The Engineer

A builder trained in systems, mathematics, and ship-it discipline.

I engineer full-stack software where clean architecture meets measurable business outcomes.

My work sits at the intersection of distributed systems, real-time automation, and interface craft - from payment-integrated e-commerce serving real customers to AI-powered finance platforms with end-to-end n8n workflows, to computer-vision pipelines closing the loop between perception and control.

I care about things that ship. Security as a baseline, not a feature request. Observability before launch. Automation the moment something runs more than twice. A dashboard considered as carefully as the product. Code that earns its place by moving a metric.

When I'm not building, I'm tearing apart data structures and watching how real systems fail - the background academic track that gave me multiple international-rank olympiad results and, more usefully, the instinct to distrust anything that looks too clean in production.

How I Build

Five steps from brief to running system.

01

Understand the real problem.

No assumptions. What moves the metric? What's already broken? Who actually uses this? The interview is the first half of the engineering - everything after is just typing.

02

Architect before code.

Data model, API contracts, system boundaries, failure modes. Security and observability decided on day one, not bolted on the week before launch. The diagram gets reviewed before a single line ships.

Build backend-first, layer by layer.

Database schemas → API layer → frontend. Each layer tested before the next arrives. Auth hardened, rate-limits in place, signatures verified. A frontend on top of a shaky API is just an expensive bug report.

Automate the second occurrence.

n8n workflows, AI agents, webhooks, scheduled jobs. If logic has run twice by hand, it should run on its own by the third time. The first automation pays for itself in a week; by the fifth, the product runs itself.

Deploy & Monitor - hand over a running system.

Vercel, Sentry.io, real-time alerts, structured logs. I don't hand over codebases; I hand over operating businesses with dashboards the owner can actually read.
